Levels 1-5 & Learn to Ride

At WeeWheel, we meet your child exactly where they are—and move at their pace. Some kids progress quickly, others take their time. Both are perfect.

Instead of being locked into a season or stuck at one level for weeks, kids move up when they’re ready. Once a child meets the milestones for a level, they can jump to the next one—no waiting, no pressure.

If your child doesn’t know how to ride a bike yet, we have a program for that too. Our Learn to Ride program is a focused, four-week progression that builds balance and confidence and gets kids riding independently.

This flexible approach lets kids grow confidence, build skills, and accelerate at a pace that feels good to them. Every WeeWheel location offers the same five levels, so no matter where you ride, the path stays consistent.

Learn to Ride (Grades K–5)

Our Learn to Ride program is a four-week bike riding class for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade who are not yet riding independently. We build the foundations of balance and confidence step by step—so by the end of week four, kids are riding on their own, tear-free, proud, and smiling.

Learn to Ride

  • Learn to Ride is designed for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade and is an accelerated version of what children learn in Levels 1 and 2. For younger kids, we recommend starting in a Level 1 or Level 2 balance bike class to build strong foundations at a comfortable pace. When your child is ready for pedals, a WeeWheel coach will help guide that transition from a level 2 class.

  • Training wheels don’t actually teach kids how to ride—they only teach them how not to fall, which can create a false sense of security. At WeeWheel, we focus on the true foundations of riding by teaching balance and body awareness first. When kids understand how their body feels on a bike, they gain real control and confidence, making the transition to pedals natural and successful.

  • This varies by location. Some WeeWheel locations provide bikes from their fleet, while others may ask families to bring their own. Your local WeeWheel coach will help you figure out what’s needed, so we recommend reaching out to the location nearest you for details.

  • This Is Where the Fun Begins. Just like learning to dribble isn’t the end of basketball, learning to ride isn’t the end of biking—it’s the beginning. After completing our four-week Learn to Ride program, kids are ready for Level 3, our beginner pedal class. This is where riders build confidence, stack skills, take on new challenges, and learn to ride safely while having a whole lot of fun.Description text goes here
